I'll just say it. I am OBSESSED with making smoothies for breakfast. They're quick, easy, and super delicious. Best part is, you can add your favorite ingredients and it'll turn out amazing. For the week I tend to stick with the same recipe, just because it's more convenient to prep!
For your smoothies, you can either use frozen fruit (for a thicker smoothie) or use fresh fruit and add ice. Either way will give you a delicious smoothie!
When creating your smoothie, it's super important to be aware of what ingredients are going in it and how much they'll help your body. Leafy greens like kale and spinach will assist with increasing both energy levels and cognitive function, boosting your immunity system, and much more! As for fruits, the several different groups give your body endless boosts. Citrus fruits are great for your digestive tract, berries are usually high in antioxidants (which protect the cells in your body), and melons are great for aiding your metabolism.
My goto smoothie keeps me full and happy until it's time for my mid-morning snack. I truly hope you all enjoy!
Banana + Spinach Smoothie
1 small banana
1 cup spinach
1 tbsp almond butter
1 tsp cinammon
1 tsp turmeric (optional)
1/2 cup of your choice of milk
*I am currently using Oat Milk, which has been really good!
